Earth Sciences

Castle Hill Basin and the surrounding area is a popular destination for school field trips researching geological processes. Outreach and the Department of Geological Sciences have developed a Castle Hill field guide for school students and their teachers. It will be particularly useful for schools intending to do AS91189 Investigate geological processes in a New Zealand locality. Local schools can also request a UC geology student accompany the group on the trip.
